Café Appliances

The holiday season is in full swing around here. Recently, we said goodbye to the last of our family as they headed home to the different states that they traveled from to spend Thanksgiving with us and we are all ready thinking about Christmas that is just a few weeks away. It was so fun to have the chance to spend so much time with our family and host them all at our home. We are the house that everyone comes to and we totally love every minute of it!
One of my favorite things to do is create a beautiful table scape for my family and I've been so inspired by black this year. I've always been drawn to white but I'm totally having a love affair with black right now and its inspiring a lot of changes around our home.

I used black placemats and paired them with gold flatware. I really love how the gold plays off the black. Its always been a favorite combo of mine when it comes to design. I added little sprigs of myrtle branches to each place setting because fresh greenery is my favorite accessory when it comes to styling.

From my table scape to the new exterior of our home. Black is my color and I can't get enough of it!

Recently I had the opportunity to travel to Louisville KY with an amazing group of fashion, food and interior design influencers to meet with the fine folks at Café where we learned all about their new line of kitchen appliances. Being with this group was so incredibly fun and let me tell you when you have the chance to be in a room with this many talented creatives, the feeling is electric.
And let me just say, this is what I have been waiting for all my life! You guys, check out this new line of customizable appliances. Finally, we aren't stuck with stainless steel as our only upscale design option any longer but we can actually chose our own finishes for these beauties!

I can't say enough great things about this company and their crew. From the people working in the factories, who by the way, were so friendly! You could see on their smiling faces just how much they love the company they work for to the executive staff that sat down with us and told us all about their amazing new designs and the vision of the company and this new line of luxury appliances.

It was great to be completely immersed in the Café Appliances. Learning all about this new line that will be installed in our own home this coming week.
Seriously, I could not be more excited!
We spent the day working on mood boards that spoke to our design inspiration and how our own personal design is so reflective in our choices for our homes. Now we can have appliances that are not only beautiful in design but completely cohesive with the rest of our home.

This board totally shows the direction I've been headed with my designs lately. Moody blacks and greens with touches of metals in gold tones. Loving textures from natural elements and kilned dried ceramics. Organic colors and elements.
The first thing I thought of when I saw the new appliance hardware was that they completely reminded me of jewelry. We actually had the chance to make our own jewelry in the same finishes as the Café Collection! Such a creative touch to this trip and helped me realize that my final choice in finishes was perfect.

If you haven't already guessed, I chose the Matte Black appliances with Brushed Bronze hardware and they are so good!    Not only are they simply gorgeous, they are killing it with ease of use and overall functionality. I about died when I discovered that my new refrigerator has an built-in Keurig® K-Cup® brewing system.  I can use the Wifi Connect App on my phone to heat the water right from bed and there isn't anything that will get me out of bed like a hot cup of coffee will!

I love that there is a variety of finishes to choose from in the new line. We were all so excited to see them. The Brushed Bronze was my favorite out of the new collection for my own home but I can't wait for the opportunity to use the others in upcoming client projects.

I can't wait for my new Café Appliances to arrive this coming week. I totally have plans to add some green to my kitchen and that may be in the cabinets. Although, I may have to wait on that, its totally on my mind to make the change from white in there. I guess we will just have to wait and see on that one.
